Mancora Peru Classic

Array

Once you land, getting to Mancora would not be a problem since you could find a lot of drivers to bring you to this hot surfing destination. If you’ll be going here, then you should be equipped with some knowledge on who Sofia Mulanovich is. Why? Because in this place, if you’re Sof’s friend, then everybody is your friend too!

Surfing is a very big sport in Peru, all thanks to their 2004 ASP World Champ, Sofia. In fact, it’s not only the town that has the hype for holding surfing competitions, but the whole country! As time passes by, the seaside Mancora village is slowly becoming a popular summer holiday destination. Thus, it is being developed even more to provide lots of great places to sleep and eat.

In favor of Lower Trestles, the surf here would be a reeling lefthander which allow the girls to bring out and proudly show all their tricks in their bags. Also, the water has a warm temperature that would just be perfect for a dip in the big wave.

What you would definitely love about this place would be the vocal fans everywhere you go. Plus, Halloween would be a long weekend. Along with the arrival of ASP World Tour that would definitely result to a very crowded beach!

However, some precaution is needed if you don’t want to get Yellow Fever. So, drink only bottled water and get some immunization first.

Ironically, the best after surf activity you could do here would be: sleep! For sure, after surfing such amazing waves for the whole day, which would be your number one activity by the way, you would need to get some rest so that you can hit the waves all over again tomorrow.

Interestingly, Stephanie Gilmore beat seven-time ASP Women’s World Champ Layne Beachley to get the very first Mancora Peru Classic.
